Natasha R. Nau, RNC LLC

Natasha is the founder and CEO of RightNauConsulting LLC, which provides professional consulting services to governmental entities, non-profits, and small businesses nationwide in the areas of finance, budgeting, accounting/bookkeeping, grant writing, website design, planning visualizations and much more. Her career spans 10 years in local government with service in five states (VA, AZ, DE, PA & CT). She holds an MPA and BS in Public Administration and is currently pursuing an Accounting Certificate. Natasha is a life-long volunteer firefighter at Long Ridge Fire Company in Stamford, CT. She currently serves as Beacon Falls CT’s Finance Manager when she isn’t busy consulting.
Most recently, Natasha was the Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Management of the Philadelphia Fire Department. She evaluated finance, procurement, HR and administrative systems for efficiency improvements. Natasha acted as a fiscal project manager, co-prepared a $287 million budget (operating and aviation), wrote award winning grants ($20+ million) and created an invoicing system.
Prior to that, she was the Town Administrator for Columbia, Connecticut where she managed 60 employees. There, Natasha co-prepared a $3.6 million operating and $1.2 million capital reserve budget. She developed new ordinances and resolutions, wrote an award winning senior center van grant, managed projects (library, roads, bridges) and coordinated regional efforts. In addition, she revived the Economic Development Commission, created an Environmental Advisory Committee and got Columbia involved in the state’s Clean Energy Community Program. Natasha enhanced communication by creating the first town newsletter and Facebook page.
Before leading Columbia, Natasha worked as the Finance/HR Director for London Grove Township where she was responsible for the daily accounting of the Township’s 17 funds totaling $4.7 million dollars and monitoring the municipal golf course’s financial operations. Natasha oversaw 12 full-time employees, processed payroll, administered all benefits and assisted the Township Manager with personnel decisions. She co-prepared the budget and proposed all future financial planning and policy making.
Natasha launched her full-time career with a graduate research fellowship at the Institute for Public Administration where she worked on the Planning for Complete Communities in Delaware project and invaluable internships with various local governments and a law firm.
